Kady Rain Premieres New Song “It Wasn't The Roses”
Austin-based singer-songwriter Kady Rain has delivered a new song “It Wasn't The Roses” via streaming music services.
The song is her first released single in 2018 since a debut EP "All I Ever Wanted", which was released in 2016.
The track is doo-wop ’60s style-pop song unlike her previously sound. It was written by Kady Rain and Ben Bazzrea. The song was inspired by one devastating past abusive relationship.
Recently, she joined in Sydney-based DJ Donatachi's "Take Me" as guest vocals.
Kady Rain said of the her music;
"I used to drink a lot and make a lot of bad decisions, and I realized that everything I was doing wasn’t serving me and was just self-destructive. The end of our relationship culminated in him trying to kill me. It was the worst thing that ever happened in my life up until that point.
[I was] completely psychologically incapable of processing what was happening, and I was just completely alone. But ultimately, it was also the best thing that ever happened to me because … I had realized that I had not been focusing on my dream for nearly 10 years."- She added;
"When I write my music, I want to have a voice and through my voice I seek to empower others to have their own voice too. I want to empower others to speak their truth and to tell their story and to not be afraid of who they are."
