Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Good Charlotte Premieres New Song “Actual Pain”
American rock band Good Charlotte announced their new album "Generation Rx" is set to be released september 14th. The album is their first LP in two years.
Also, the band revealed a tour for 2019 to promote the album. The tour will kick off at Zürich X-Tra, Switzerland on February 1, 2019.

On May 25th, the band released the lead single "Actual Pain" from the album.
The song was written after they performed at the memorial service for American rapper Lil Peep, who died last November.
The band members Joel Madden and Benji Madden said of the song in a statement;
"We just played a memorial service in honor of Lil Peep. We were thinking of that. Our generation was the first to have so many ways to deal with pain. Throughout this century, we've seen the whole opioid crisis get worse. We wondered if we were really doing our part. We wanted to bet back out there on the battlefield and spread insight, share experience, and give anything we could to improve lives. The message is you can get through the pain, survive it, and have the life you want."- The Bothers told Rolling Stone about the album;
"Good Charlotte was at our best when we were unconscious and naive kids, who didn’t know it wasn’t cool to try hard or make new friends. There was an honesty and vulnerability we were able to share with the world back then, that makes us extremely proud of the young guys that we were. The wisdom that time gives you also comes with baggage and we’ve been searching for the door back in to that vulnerability, honesty and hopeful outlook that seems to only exist in innocence for a good 15 years.
