American rapper Nicki Minaj appeared on Saturday Night Live, where she performed her latest songs “Chun-Li” and “Poke It Out” with American rapper Playboi Carti.
This marks the third time Nicki Minaj has been the musical performer on the sketch show.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming fourth studio album "Queen", which is set to be released on June 15, 2018.
“Poke It Out” is her first performance on TV. She said, “I’ll perform a song you never heard b4,. My fave on the album. plus my second song. You can prob guess what that’s gonna be.” It was written by Pi'erre Bourne, Playboi Carti and Nicki Minaj.
“Chun-Li” was released on April 12 alongside "Barbie Tingz". It was written and produced by Minaj and Jeremy Reid. Commercially.
The song is currently sitting #19 at the US Billboard Hot 100.
She also appeared in a "Cut for Time" prerecorded "Friendship Song" sketch that co-starred Tina Fey, Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant as a Haim-like band/group of friends.- 2in8XqiElwc
