Kacey Musgraves Performs “High Horse” & “Slow Burn” on Saturday Night Live
- American country music singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves appeared on Saturday Night Live, where she performed her latest songs “High Horse” and “Slow Burn”.
This marks her musical guest debut on SNL. Both songs are included on her third album "Golden Hour" (except independent album), which was released on March 30, 2018.
"High Horse" is her third promotional single and written by Kacey Musgraves, Trent Dabbs and Tommy English. She previously performed the song on The Ellen Show in April.
She said of the song, "It was a freakin’ blast to do ‘High Horse.’ I mean, I had this title for a while, and just the thought of, you know, we all know that character that’s a little high on themselves. You know, they’re just a little bit arrogant. And I had this title sitting around for a long time and I have my own ideas who it’s about, but everyone has that character in their life, and, oh my gosh, it is the most fun ever."
- “Slow Burn” is album-opener and written by Kacey Musgraves, Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian.
She said of the song, "I was born 6 weeks early. Under 5 lbs. I came on the day of my baby shower. [I always have loved a party] It was the last time I was ever early for anything. “Slow Burn” is one of my most auto-biographical songs. And one of my favorites."
Kacey Musgraves will join in Harry Styles on the North American leg of his world tour, which kicks off June 5 in Dallas, Texas.
