Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Charlie Puth Releases New Album “Voicenotes”
American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth released his long-awaited second studio album “Voicenotes” on May 11, 2018.
It is his first album in two years. The album comprises of 13-track, including singles "Done for Me" featuring Kehlani, "Change" featuring James Taylor, "If You Leave Me Now" featuring Boyz II Men, "How Long" and "The Way I Am".
The album is like the late '80s sound and R&B. He described the sound of the album, "like walking down a dirt road and listening to New Edition in 1989 – and being heartbroken, of course."
He also stated he wished to distance himself from the sound of his first album, which was "people nudging [me] in a direction that I didn't want to go in."
“Voicenotes” means that he used his little Pro Tools rig with a MIDI keyboard and a microphone for creating the songs. Before the album releasing, he unveiled the making video for "Behind The Song" of the album.
He embarks Voicenotes Tour in support of the album at Budweiser Stage in Toronto on July 11. The tour takes place in North America with a total of 32 shows through to September 1st.
