Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Odette Premieres New Song “Take It To The Heart”
Sydney-based singer-songwriter Georgia Odette Sallybanks, aka Odette has delivered a new song “Take It To The Heart” from her upcoming debut album "To A Stranger".
The song was premiered exclusively on Triple j. It was written by Jason Cox and Georgia Sallybanks.
The debut album "To A Stranger" is set to be released on July 6, 2018.
She announced first national tour dates in support of the debut album. The tour kicks off at Rocket Bar in Adelaide Sa, Australia on August 10th.

She told Gen & Lewis of Triple j;
"The only revenge, Mean Girls song I’d ever written. So, I was really keen to work on it. All my other songs at the time were like [sings] ‘I’m so sad’. So this was my only powerful and self-empowering song. It kind of closes the chapter on ‘Watch Me Read You’ and ‘Collide’, like ‘you know what? I’m too good for this situation. Bye bye."-
Odette debuted with the first song "Watch Me Read You" in 2017. Since then, she has worked with producers and songwriters like Charlie Hugall, Jason Cox, Alex Hope, Paul Mac and Damian Taylor for the debut album.
Odette’s songs are deeply personal and see her flutter from spoken word into warm, soulful vocals, with arrangements circling soul, jazz and pop.
