On April 1st, NBC broadcast live Jesus Christ Superstar at the Marcy Avenue Armory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where American singer-songwriter John Legend appeared on.
A week later, he released a new song “A Good Night” with a accompanying music video. The song features producer BloodPop. It was written by John Legend, BloodPop®, Sasha Sloan and RAYE.
"A Good Night" marks Legend's first new song since "In America," which he released last March for the pre-Civil War TV series "Underground".
The music vide was directed by Mishka Kornai and filmed the clip with 23 Pixel smartphones (the video was produced in conjunction with Google).
John Legend said of the new song;
"The song and the video are about a magical night where you meet someone you immediately connect with and can envision a future together. You're single, dating, probably using all the apps people use now (I haven't dated since the advent of Tinder, etc, but it's a fascinating era in romance), and not finding someone special. But one night – maybe caught up in the music or the drinks or whatever – you meet someone that changes everything."-
