Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Snow Patrol Premieres New Song “Don’t Give In”
Northern Irish-Scottish rock band Snow Patrol is back. The band announced their seventh studio album release and tour dates.
The album is called "Wildness" its first LP in seven years, which is set to be released on May 25th. From the album, the lead single "Don’t Give In" was released with a accompanying music video on March 21st. It was written by Paul Wilson, Nathan Connolly, Jonny Quinn, Johnny McDaid, Gary Lightbody and Jacknife Lee.
The band kicks off the tour, called Wildness Tour, in support of the album at Islington Assembly Hall on April 11, 2018. The tour takes place in the UK, Irelandm and North America through to May 20th.
Their last tour Fallen Empires tour concluded five years ago. Frontman Gary Lightbody said he has appreciated the other member's patience during that time.-
- "I do think the rest of the band would have been ready to record at any point over the last five years. But they never showed frustration or anger. Never did they say, ‘Hurry up and write the songs, mate."
He added about the new album, "The more I wrote into it I realised it was about me and the struggle of making the album - which took 5 years and was not easy - coupled with the struggle with depression I’ve had since I was a kid, so it has become the talisman of the album. The song that became a self-fulfilling prophecy," he said. - source : RTE
