Kelly Clarkson Premieres New Song “I’ve Loved You Since Forever” on TODAY
- American TV show TODAY presented the world premiere of the music video for "I’ve Loved You Since Forever". The video is inspired by TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb’s new children’s book “I’ve Loved You Since Forever” for her daughter Haley Joy. Hoda Kotb adopted her daughter last year. The book is a love letter from a parent to a child.
American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson collaborated with Hoda Kotb and performed the song on the video.
Hoda Kotb said on "Today" that one day she had an idea to have someone "sing the book," and thought of vocal powerhouse Clarkson. "There is one person I know who has a voice that is in a class by itself," she said.
"I made it more like a lullaby, like James Taylor, like there's kind of some Patty Griffin in it," Clarkson told Kotb. "I hope we do it justice."
The song will go to HelpUsAdopt.org, to aid people who find it difficult to afford the adoption process. All of NBCUniversal’s profits from each download and stream of "I've Loved You Since Forever" will be donated to Helpusadopt.org.
