Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Kelela Premieres New Music Video for “Frontline”
American singer-songwriter Kelela premiered a new music video for “Frontline”. The video is composed of animations, animated and directed by Claudia Matè.
The song was released as the second single from her debut album "Take Me Apart", which was released last October. It was written by Kelela, Jeremiah Jerry, Sam Dew and Will Boston.
About the video, she told Rolling Stone;
"With this Sims-like video, I was able to tell my story in a light-hearted but dramatic way. It's about leaving your ex with the wind in your hair while acknowledging a curiously complex feeling of pain that he has left you for a white woman."
The debut album comprises of 14-track and reached #51 on the UK Albums Chart and #18 on the US R&B Albums Chart.
Sha has currently toured in North America, Europe and UK, including Coachella 2018. Next live is at 9:30 Club in Washington on March 1st, followed by Irving Plaza in New York on March 2nd.
