Fiona Grey Releases Cover of Blondie's “Heart of Glass”
- Back in January, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Fiona Grey released the latest song "Dirty Dream" via SoundCloud. On Valentine's Day, she delivered cover of Blondie's “Heart of Glass” and dropped a music video for it, directed by Noah Miller.
“Heart of Glass” was released in 1979 by Blondie, written by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein.
The track was included on the band's third studio album "Parallel Lines", which was issued in 1978. The song reached number one on the charts in several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
"Heart of Glass" ranked at number 56 in the UK's official list of biggest selling singles of all-time with sales of 1.3 million copies.
Fiona Grey is currently working on her sophomore EP, which is set to be released in early 2018. The EP is features "Dirty Dream" and "MONEY".
About her own music, she said, “What I do is put myself out there in a larger than life way. At my shows fans approach me to tell me that the performance was bigger than the venue, (she laughs) I love that. I believe that the message in my songs deserve to be heard in a brash and big way.”
