New York-based R&B duo Lion Babe has delivered a new song "Honey Dew" via SoundCloud. The track is the follow-up to "Rockets" featuring rapper Moe Moks, which was released last December.
The song is a slow ballad based on piano like R&B and jazz.
Lion Babe was formed in 2012, consisting of singer Jillian Hervey and record producer Lucas Goodman. The duo signed to Interscope and released a debut single "Treat Me Like Fire" in 2012.
They relealesd self-titled debut EP in 2014, followed by the duo issued a debut album "Begin" in 2016. On the debut album, the duo worked with producer Pharrell Williams.
Lucas Goodman told Rolling Stone, "He was just so quick, flipping through sounds on his laptop while he probably had three sessions going at once. He made some loops and put them on a flash drive and just said, 'You guys mess around with this and then come back with something.' I was reflecting on the way so much of soul has these simple, standalone messages that become classics."
Lion Babe is currently working on their sophomore album. Also, the duo will perform live at Coachella 2018, which takes place between on April 13 and April 22. The Festival fearues The Weeknd, Eminem, Beyonce and Cardi B, among others.- source : Rolling Stone
