  • Ellie Goulding Releases Cover of Don McLean's “Vincent”

  • English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding covered Don McLean's "Vincent", which was released in 1971. The song is tributed to Vincent van Gogh. It is also known by its opening line, "Starry Starry Night", a reference to Van Gogh's painting The Starry Night.


    Ellie Goulding sometimes releases cover song. She has released other covers such as Hozier's "Take Me to Church", Kodaline's "All I Want" and Elton John's "Your Song", so far.
    Recently, she joined in the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack with "Love Me Like You Do", which was also included on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.

    She wrote about the song on her Facebook;
    "My album isn’t ready yet, but for the best fans in the world, here’s my offering for Valentines Day, a tribute to Don McLean who wrote this heartbreakingly beautiful and poignant ode to Vincent Van Gogh. So much love and big hug x"
