Brazilian singer-songwriter Claudia Leitte dropped a new music video for “Carnaval”. The song features American rapper Pitbull and was released on January 26, 2018.
It was written by Pitbull, Jose Garcia, Jimmy Thornfelt, Bilal Hajji, Derrus Rachel, Jorge Gomez Martinez, AJ Junior and Justin Trugman.
In the past, Claudia Leitte and Pitbull collaborated for “We Are One (Ole Ola)” in 2014, which was 2014 FIFA World Cup theme song.
About the song, she told Billboard in an interview;
"The song is a gift to me. Pitbull came into my life when I was in the middle of the negotiations for the last World Cup, for the opening ceremony. We became friends, and he introduced me to this song, which caught me right away. We worked very hard to get this Brazilian flavor in the background, because it had to also sound like pop music. It’s in English, in Spanish -- it’s totally different."-
