Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Lucy Dacus Premieres New Song “Next of Kin”
Richmond-based singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus has delivered a new song “Next of Kin” via Spotify. The track is taken from her upcoming album "Historian", which is set to be released on March 2, 2018. From the album, she has already released two singles "Night Shift" and "Addictions".
About the new song, the 22-year-old singer said;
"I think I've had extremes of being unable to exist outside of my own head, and then only existing for other people. There's a middle ground where I should take care of myself and other people. And I do feel better about that since writing the ['Next of Kin'] line. Writing the line is then setting a goal for myself that I then have to achieve."-
- She embarks her own tour in support of the new album in the U.S. and Europe. The tour kicks off at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on march 2 and will wrap up at Sugar Factory on May 4, 2018.
