Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Nick Jonas Premieres New Music Video for “Home” from Animated Film “Ferdinand” Soundtrack
American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas received a nomination for Best Original Song of the 2018 Golden Globes with "Home". The song was released as first promotional single of the upcoming Soundtrack for the film "Ferdinand" on October 20, 2017. It was written by Nick Jonas, Justin Tranter and Nick Monson.
On December 13, he dropped the music video for "Home", directed by Nicholas Lam. The video features some clips of the film.
He performed the song live at Chase Pay Village inside New York City’s Oculus on the same day.
"Ferdinand" is 3D computer-animated comedy film, directed by Carlos Saldanha, featuring the voices of John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Anthony Anderson, Bobby Cannavale, Peyton Manning, Gina Rodriguez, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, and David Tennant.
The film is based on children's book "The Story of Ferdinand" written by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson. It is set be released on December 15, 2017.- HTi1c_tLnqw

About the nomination, Nick Jonas said;
"My wake up call this morning was one of my friends banging on my door because I wasn't answering my phone. He handed me his phone and at first I feared that something was wrong, but then it was my manager telling me the news and I freaked out. I was like a ten-year-old child who just got a new Gameboy.
The theme for the song was the idea of home being the place we feel most accepted and loved. Home being your family, your friends, your loved ones. When I started thinking about that it was sort of like an outpouring. I don't know that I have actually ever written a song about my family before, and so for the first one to be recognized in this way is great."-
