- Phoebe Ryan Performs “Be Real” at The Layman Drug Sessions
- Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Phoebe Ryan performed “Be Real” with a new orchestral arrangement at The Layman Drug Sessions, the video was premiered exclusively on Billboard on December 11.
She already shared the same session videos "James Has Changed" and "Aspirin" in October and November, respectively. She recorded a few songs at the Layman Drug Company.
All three songs are from her sophomore EP "James", which was released on October 27.
Phoebe Ryan is known for The Chainsmokers' smash hit "All We Know" as guest vocals in 2016 and as a songwriter for Melanie Martinez's "Teddy Bear", which is included on 2015's album "Cry Baby".
About the sessions, Phoebe Ryan told Billboard;
"This arrangement gives the song a new life. I remember hearing it for the first time and being so happy that it translated. It's exactly the feeling I was going for with these sessions in Nashville."
