- Blondie Premieres New Music Video for “Doom or Destiny” Featuring Joan Jett
- American rock band Blondie dropped a new music video for “Doom or Destiny” directed by Rob Roth, featuring American rock singer Joan Jett.
In the video, Debbie Harry and Joan Jett co-host an apocalyptic news broadcast.
Back in Mat, Blondie released their eleventh studio album "Pollinator" for the firs time in three years. “Doom or Destiny” is included on the album, written by Chris Stein and Deborah Harry.
The album featured guest appearances from Joan Jett, John Roberts, Laurie Anderson, The Gregory Brothers and What Cheer? Brigade. Also Charli XCX wrote "Tonight", featuring as bonus track. In addition, Sia and the Strokes' Nick Valensi penned "Best Day Ever".
About the music video, Chris Stein said;
"In trying times we try harder. Politics have become the new pop culture phenomena, but it seems the current landscape of music videos has so little to do with true protest or some kind of social message. It can be truthful, but irreverent, fun and funny."
