- Lissie Premieres New Music Video for “Blood and Muscle”
- Iowa-based singer-songwriter Elisabeth Corrin Maurus, aka Lissie announced that her fourth studio album "Castles" would be released on March 23, 2018.
The new album follows up 2015's "My Wild West" and the second single "Blood and Muscle" was released on November 17, 2017.
On December 1st, she premiered a new music video for the new song on VEVO, directed by Taylor Lewin.
She will perform live in support of the album at three UK shows, at Glasgow Oran Mor on April 6, Manchester Gorilla on April 8 and London Omeara on April 10. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
About the new album, she explained;
"Castles finds me settled and striving to look deeper, not only into myself but the nature of reality. The songs reflect a self-awareness and experience that I’m exploring in my mid-30s, and the entire process of making this record has emboldened a sense of self; sufficiency, reliance and confidence... I believe it is an album about confronting the darkness and within, finding hope, light and possibility."
- Recently her song "Wild West", included on previous album "My Wild West", was featured in the Twin Peaks comeback series, in which she played the song.
“If long fringes, plaid shirts and soaring indie-pop ballads are your bag then you’ll have loved Lissie’s intense Twin Peaks debut last week. Closing the episode with the Stevie Nicks-esque ‘Wild West’, Rock Island’s most exciting troubadour more than earned her Lynch-commissioned screen time.”
