American pop rock duo Aly & AJ will release a debut EP "Ten Years" on November 17, 2017. From EP, "Take Me" was released as the lead single in August.
On November 3, a second single "I Know" arrived, written by Aly Michalka and AJ Michalka.
The new song was inspired by the death of an acquaintance, who had died from cancer. "This song was written a few days after we found out an acquaintance from our past had lost his battle with cancer," the duo said. "After seeing such an outcry of love & support from his close friends and family we decided to write something dedicated to friendship and the commitment we are all capable of giving when someone needs us most."- The EP "Ten Years" contains 4-track and follows up their third studio album "Insomniatic", which reached number 15 on the Billboard 200.
"We’ve evolved. We've had 10 years of cocooning this music into something that has really taken off naturally," AJ Michalka explained. "These tracks on the EP just came in an effortless way, and Aly and I kind of looked at each other and went 'well, I think we found our sound.'" - source : Spin
