German pop singer-songwriter Joelina Drews has released a new song "Skybar". The track was premiered exclusively on CelebMix.
The song is the first single off her upcoming full length album, set to be released in April 2018.
She was inspired to write the song about her nights out at the rooftop of the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.
About the new song, she said in s statement;
“’When I’m with ya, you give me a blackout’ describes exactly how I feel when I really have a crush on somebody. I can’t think straight anymore and am just focused on this person right next to me. This song is all about passion and energy as it shows my edgy, powerful and gentle side at the same time."
Also she told CelebMix;
"I wanted to write a song about the feeling when you can’t think straight anymore because you’re so into this person. And when you’re getting drinks together and really hitting it off, it’s this feeling that gets more intense and exciting. You just want to live in the moment and grab this opportunity.”- Joelina Drews is better known as a daughter of German pop singer Jürgen Drews and an actress Ramona Drews.
She released "Trendsetter" at the age of 14 in 2010, the song made the top 40 US Billboard charts. Next year, she performed her first live appearance at the Berlin press ball in the Ullstein-Halle in the Axel-Springer-Haus.
In 2015, as candidate of the RTL-Danceshow “Stepping Out” she even accomplished it till the finals. - source : Celebmix
