  • BBC held BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards 2017 at The SSE Arena in London on October 22, 2017.


    The Awards is a music event exclusively for youngsters aged 14-17. The daytime event includes musical performances and awards are given in music, film and TV categories.
    On stage, Camila Cabello performed "Havana", and "Say You Won't Let Go" alog with James Arthur. Rita Ora played a medley with "Your Song", "Lonely Together" and "Anywhere". The Vamps and Maggie Lindemann performed "Personal", Liam Payne played "Get Low".
    Dua Lipa recieved Best Single with "New Rules", she performed the song.

    The Only Way Is Essex star was announcing Love Island as the winner of Best TV Show at the annual awards when a trap door opened to bring the winners up on stage. However she did not see the trap door open and instead fell down into the hole.
    After she made it back on stage with the help of Love Island’s Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies, and Marcel Somerville, Gemma apologised and said, ‘Oh my God, I am so sorry about that. This is live, this is what happens.’
