American singer-songwriter Jhené Aiko appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where she performed her new song “Moments” with American rapper Big Sean.
The song was featured on her sophomore album “Trip”, which was released on September 22, 2017. It was written by Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo, Amaire Johnson and Sean Anderson.
As solo artist, the new album is her first LP in three years since “Souled Out” and contains 22-track. Featuring the guest appearances from Big Sean, Twenty88, Swae Lee, Kurupt, Dr. Chill, Namiko Love, Brandy and Mali Music.
Last month, she unveiled a short film “Trip” in support of the new album, written by Jhené Aiko herself and co-directed by Tracy Oliver. Jhené Aiko plays as Penny in the film.
The short film draws a romantic relationship while struggling with memories of sadness, grief, and loss following her brother’s death.
Jhené Aiko and Big Sean, who have a longtime working relationship and they released a collaboration album “Twenty88” in 2016.
At the top of 2018, she will embark upon Lana Del Rey's Lust For Life North American tour, which will hit major cities across the states including Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and Toronto.- source : Rolling Stone
