- Sam Smith Performs Latest Songs “Too Good At Goodbyes” and “Pray” on Saturday Night Live
- London-based singer-songwriter Sam Smith appeared on Saturday Night Live, where he performed his latest songs “Too Good At Goodbyes” and “Pray”.
This marks the second time Sam Smith has been the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. They made this TV program debut in 2014 when Louis C.K. was the host. This time Actress Gal Gadot, and Kenan Thompson hosted.
Before his perfomance, he tweeted, “Saturday In New York. Can’t wait to sing tonight.”
Both songs of “Too Good At Goodbyes” and “Pray” were taken from his upcoming sophomore album “The Thrill Of It All”.
It’s been three years since he has released an album, and now he sets to drop the new album on November 2.
- “Too Good At Goodbyes” was released on September 8 and written by James Napier, Tor Hermansen, Mikkel Eriksen and Sam Smith.
The muisc video, directed by Luke Monaghan, came out only two weeks ago, which was filmed in Newcastle upon Tyne in Northeast England.
“Pray” was released on October 6, he tweeted shortly afterwards, “I hope you love ‘Pray’, I hope it becomes your friend in those deep dark nights of confusion & loneliness. Love you all so much.”
It was written by Sam Smith, James Napier, Timothy Mosley, Darryl Pearson, Larrance Dopson, Jose Timbaland, Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice.
Sam Smith annunced a North American tour in support of his new album. The tour is set to take him to 39 stops between June 18 and September 13, 2018.
