Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez dropped a new music video for "Mad Hatter". The song was included on her debut album "Cry Baby", which was released in August 2015 and reached number six on the Billboard 200.
The track was written by Melanie Martinez, Jeremy Dussolliet, Bryan Fryzel and Aaron Kleinstub.
The video was directed by Melanie Martinez herself.
"Mad Hatter" is as the final chapter in Martinez's remarkable two year journey with her debut album.
About the video, Melanie Martinez said;
“In this video my stuffed animals represent the few genuine friends in my life and their constant ability time and time again to support me in being myself even when I’m forced to be in environments where I’m told and expected to fit a specific mold.
It’s all of the videos together of the next record, all thirteen, with dialogue and whatnot in between connecting all of them together. And I’m directing it and writing it and styling it and doing the makeup."-
