WALK THE MOON Premieres New Music Video for “One Foot”
Cincinnati-based rock band Walk the Moon premiered a new music video for "One Foot". The song is the lead single off their upcoming fourth studio album, which will be released later in 2017.
The track is inspired from Donald Trump's presidency. The video was directed by Robert Hales and filmed during the recent Great American Eclipse last month (August).
About the new song, frontman Nicholas Petricca told EW in an interview;
“We had just gotten back together as a band to make music in Austin, Texas, and it was just the four of us in a room for the first time since the tour. At the end of that week, President Trump was elected. So while all that was going on in the inside, the outside world was reflecting like, ‘What the f— is going to happen?'”
And he added;
"We've never felt more true to ourselves than we do right now, releasing this song and this upcoming record. ‘One Foot’ is the soundtrack of our journey this past year, moving forward even when the path is uncertain."- The new album is their first LP in three years since "Talking Is Hard". The album is argely inspired by a daunting personal journey.
He explained the new album;
“This album is based around looking into the unknown and realizing that it could all go to s— or it could be the best thing in your life. This record, even more than the last one, is really raw lyrically, while the sound seems more epic.” -
Walk The Moon was fromed in 2006, currently consisting of Nicholas Petricca (lead vocals, keyboards, synthesizer), Kevin Ray (bass, backing vocals, guitar), Sean Waugaman (drums, backing vocals) and Eli Maiman (guitar, backing vocals).
The band is best known for their smash 2014's "Shut Up and Dance", which reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten of the charts in six countries. - source : EW
