Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ SAATSUMA Premieres New Music Video for “CRESCENT”
Melbourne-based electronic duo SAATSUMA dropped a new music video for "CRESCENT" directed by Dyllan Corbett. The video was premiered exclusively on FAME Magazine.
The song was released in August 2017 from their debut album "Overflow", which was released on September 1st. The track reflects on the impact of the moon on human behavior.
About the song, vocalist Memphis Kelly said, "Our deep connection to the land that we’re often so unaware of…We’re often so resistant to work on and better ourselves, that we ultimately miss out on exploring this deeper sense of belonging, wholeness and true self-awareness."
Director Dyllan Corbett explained the video, "The Crescent video is an exploration of identity and belonging told through three separate narratives. Looking at cycles, orbits and atmospheric forces."
Kelly added, "The undeniable impact of the moon on our emotions and behaviours, and that these are constantly shifting and fluctuating."- Memphis Kelly said about the debut album;
"'Overflow continues the recurring theme of water, following on from our debut singles Storm and Floating. Water has always been present in my songwriting - it’s an element I am constantly drawn back to...Our connection to and interaction with the natural environment. The fragility and fluctuation of relationships."
