  • Amaranthe Premieres New Music Video for “Maximize”

  • Swedish heavy metal band Amaranthe has released a new music video for "Maximize" directed by Ville Juurikkala.

    The song is included on their fourth studio album "Maximalism", which was released in October 2016. It was written by Olof Mörck, Jake E. Lundberg and Elize Ryd. After the release of the album, co-founder and male clean vocalist Jake E left the band.

    About the video, the band guitarist Olof Mörck said;
    "'Understated' is not what you usually associate AMARANTHE with — but seeing the raw emotion and personalities combined with 'Maximize', I was convinced that we captured part of the essence of the AMARANTHE live machine. Ladies and gentlemen, this is AMARANTHE at its rawest and most distilled form! See you all on the road this fall, as the 'Maximalism' world invades a city near you!"
  • Amaranthe was formed by Olof Mörck and Joacim "Jake E" Lundberg in 2008. The band was originally called "Avalanche," until May 2009, when the band was forced to change their name, due to legal issues.
    The band is currently composed of Olof Mörck (guitars, keyboards), Elize Ryd (female clean vocals), Morten Løwe Sørensen (drums), Johan Andreassen (bass), Henrik Englund Wilhemsson (unclean vocals) and Nils Molin (male clean vocals). The band is notable for having three lead vocalists.
    The band has released four studio albums like "Amaranthe" (2011), "The Nexus" (2013), "Massive Addictive" (2014) and "Maximalism" (2016), so far.
    "Massive Addictive" was nominated for a Grammis award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal album.
