Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The War On Drugs Premieres New Music Video for “Pain”
American indie rock band The War On Drugs dropped a new music video for "Pain" online. Directed by Emmett Malloy, who shot the video on cinematic 16 millimeter film in Schuyikill River in Philadelphia.
The song is the third single following "Thinking of a Place" and "Holding On" from their upcoming fourth studio album "A Deeper Understanding", which is due out on August 25, 2017. It was written by Adam Granduciel.
The new album is their first LP in three years since "Lost in the Dream", which reached number 18 on the UK Albums chart.
The War On Drugs was formed in 2005, curretly consisting of Adam Granduciel (vocals, guitar), David Hartley (bass), Robbie Bennett (keyboards), Charlie Hall (drums), Jon Natchez (saxophone, keyboards) and Anthony LaMarca (guitar).
The band has released three albums such as "Wagonwheel Blues", "Slave Ambient" and "Lost in the Dream", so far.
In 2015, the band signed to Atlantic Records for a two-album deal.
The band embarks their own tour to promote the new album at State Theatre in Portland, ME on September 18. The tour takes place in North America and Europe through November 2017. Learn more about tour dates, click here.-
