American pop rock duo Aly & AJ has delivered a new song "Take Me" via Spotify and SoundCloud.
The song is taken from their upcoming self-titled fourth studio album. The new album "Aly & AJ" is their first LP in a decade since "Insomniatic".
Aj said about the new song;
"Aly and I felt personally discouraged by music in general. We still had so much to prove to people, even though we had made a mark in the industry. It honestly was overwhelming."
Aly added;
"We were scared to write, we didn’t like what was coming out of our instruments - it felt like we weren’t going anywhere.
It's cheeky … no pun intended. It encompasses, I think the song and what it stands for and strong, female empowerment. And it's very west coast, like this is us. We are west coast girls, we've grown up in California and that's very much our music.

They signed to Hollywood Records in 2004 and released a debut albym "Into the Rush" in 2005. The duo won Best Song You Can't Believe Your Parents Know the Words To, Best TV Movie Song and Best Song to Listen to on the Way to School at Radio Disney Music Awards in 2005.
Their second album "Acoustic Hearts of Winter" in 2006 and third album "Insomniatic" in 2007, respectively.
In 2009, Aly & AJ renamed themselves 78violet.
Aly & AJ signed to Red Light Management in 2013.
