Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber and American record producer BloodPop teamed up on a new song "Friends".
The track was written by Justin Bieber, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and BloodPop. The song was released on August 17, following up "Company". Above an uptempo, synth beat, Bieber trades in the tropical house leanings of his previous solo hits for a more pop direction.
Justin Bieber announced an upcoming release on Twitter and Instagram on August 14.
In the past, Justin Bieber and BloodPop worked together on Bieber's smash hit "Sorry", which was released in 2015, reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart.
This year, Justin Bieber collaborated with DJ Khaled and David Guetta, releasing "I'm The One" and "2U", respectively. DJ Khaled's "I'm The One", featuring Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne, reached on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart. Also, David Guetta's "2U" with reached number 16 the US Billboard Hot 100.
Unfortunately, he cancelled "Purpose World Tour" with unforeseen circumstances since July, including North America, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore.-
