Alice Glass Premieres New Music Video for “Without Love”
Former Crystal Castles member Alice Glass teamed up with The FADER on a new music video for "Without Love", directed by Floria Sigismondi and produced by Coleen Haynes. Co-produced by The FADER and MAAVVEN.
The song is the second single as her solo career following a debut song "Stillbirth". It was written by Alice Glass and Health's Jupiter Keyes.
Director Floria Sigismondi has worked with many artists to date. In the past, she directed the music videos including Katy Perry's "E.T." Feat. Kanye West, David Bowie's "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)", Rihanna's "Sledgehammer", Ellie Goulding's "Anything Could Happen", Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" and more. She also directed 2010's "The Runaways" starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.
About the new song, Alice Glass said;
“I like the idea of something beautiful and dark living simultaneously in the same place. ‘Without Love’ has those themes. There are also themes of losing yourself, being told how to be, what to say (‘tell me what to spit’). The garden vines are a metaphor for this.”- Canadian singer-songwriter Alice Glass is co-founder of electronic band Crystal Castles. She has released four studio albums as Crystal Castles. In 2014, she announced her departure from Crystal Castles and released her solo debut single "Stillbirth" in 2015. She worked with anti-sexual assault organization RAINN to donate all proceeds from the song's revenue to aid abuse victims.
She embarks her own tour at The Echo in Los Angeles on September 14 through October. Learn more about tour dates, click here. -
