- The Dives Performs New Song “Make It Like the Movies” on FOX 5 Good Day New York
- New York-based rock band The Dives appeared on FOX 5 "Good Day New York", where the band performed a new song "Make It Like the Movies".
This marks their first time TV performance. The song is included on their debut EP "Everybody’s Talkin", which was released on May 9, 2017.
The Dives was formed in NYC, consisting of Evan Stanley (lead vocals/lead guitar), Mike Lefton (lead guitar/lead vocals), Sergio Ortega (bass/vocals), Jimmy Meier (drums/vocals). Also, Evan Stanley is a son of Kiss' member Paul Stanley.
About their sound, Evan Stanley said, "We’re a Rock & Roll band," and Sergio Ortega added, "t’s a rock band playing catchy songs. Big hooks, but rattier than Top 40."
In 2014, the band self-released the first album "Magnificent Desolation", followed by, the band released "Take It All" in 2016.
This year, after releasing the debut EP, the band supported for Kiss' tour "The KISSWORLD 2017 Tour" at The O2 Arena, the SSE Hydro and Barclaycard Arena in Glasgow, Birmingham and London.
