American singer-songwriter Cynthia Nabozny, aka CYN has released a new song "Together". Recently, she signed a record deal with Katy Perry's label Unsub Records. She is the second artist signed to Katy Perry’s label following Ferras.
“I found myself in Katy Perry's living room playing my original music on a very colorful piano. It was absolutely surreal, but I got to wake up the next morning and tell myself it wasn't a dream,” she said.
The song is the first single off her forthcoming EP, which is the first release via Unsub Records. In 2015, she released her self-titled debut EP via SoundCloud. At that time, she was DePaul student.
About the new song, she told Billboard;
"A couple days ago, I was thinking about ‘Together,’ and I came to the conclusion that it is the happiest song I've wrote so far. I think this reveals an artistic intention that seeks optimism and solutions as opposed to pessimism or dead ends.”
She added;
"I hope my music can provide understanding for someone else. I hope someone can make sense of their own feelings through my songs, almost like a melodic representation of feelings otherwise invisible.”- Katy Perry wrote about CYN on Instagram;
"I first met this little bird five years ago. She had come to see the California Dreams Tour. In those five years, she has crafted so many songs (and gotten a college degree!), and through sheer determination and will, those songs made their way back to me.
