- Astrid S Premieres New Music Video for “Such A Boy”
- Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid Smeplass, aka Astrid S dropped a new music video for "Such A Boy". The video was premiered exclusively on The FADER.
Also, the video co-stars Herman Tømmeraas, who played in Norwegian teen drama TV "Skam".
She performed the song for the first time on Nyhetsmorgon i TV4 in May. The song is taken from her sophomore EP "Party's Over", which contains 6-track and released on June 30th. She already released "Breathe", "Bloodstream" and "Party's Over" from the EP.
About the video, the 20-year-old singer told The FADER;
"I wanted the video to portray a relationship the opposite way to how it's usually portrayed in movies and music videos. Girls are portrayed as the weak and emotional ones — so in a subtle way, I wanted to turn the tables and make the boy the insecure one."
Co-star Herman Tømmeraas added;
"The whole weekend of shooting was a great time. Astrid’s a good friend of mine — I remember we were doing a scene where I was supposed to be upset, and Astrid was trying to provoke me. She ended up sticking her fingers in my face while I struggled not to smile. Then it just became a thing we did in almost every 'fighting scene' we had!"
In 2017, Astrid S joined in The Vamps' "All Night" along with Matoma and Blonde's "Just for One Night". Also, she performed on "Hey Hey Hey" as backing vocals, which included on Katy Perry's new album "Witness".
