TRISTN Releases New Song “Sky Wide Open” via SoundCloud
- New York-based pop singer-songwriter TRISTN has released a new song "Sky Wide Open" via SoundCloud. The song is taken from her upcoming debut solo album "January", which is expected to be released on September 8. The track was written by TRISTN and produced by Steve Kupillas.
She started her music career along with her band in Los Angeles a few years ago. In 2016, she returned to New York and decided to start as a solo artist. She released a debut song "Nothing to Say (Nothin’)" in November 2016. The music video was premiered on VEVO, directed by herself.
On June 10, she dropped live studio recording video for "So Suddenly", which is included on her debut album.
Her music is influenced from ColdPlay and Skylar Gray. But the new song reminds us of Taylor Swift.
About the song, she said;
"'Sky Wide Open' was originally written for a friend of mine. At the time, he had a hard time realizing the few good things in his life. (He didn’t believe me much, hence the chorus lyrics.) This song is a reminder to look up every once in a while, we’d realize that there is an open sky everyday even when everything is closing in. After I finished writing the song (3 hours), Steve and I produced the whole track in one session (8 hours) We had one simple goal, to make a song that gets us out of bed and up into an open sky. (The entire production took 22 hours from the first word to the finished track.)"
