Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Rita Ora Premieres New Music Video for “Your Song” on VEVO
Last month, British singer-songwriter Rita Ora released her first solo single in almost two years "Your Song". On June 22, she premiered a music video for the new song on VEVO.
The video was filmed in Vancouver and was directed by Michael Haussman, who directed Selena Gomez's music video "Same Old Love".
The song was co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac. She performed live for the first time at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend on May 28.
The track is featuring uncredited vocals from Ed Sheeran and is taken from her forthcoming sophomore studio album.
Her new album will be released for the first time in 5 years and out on November. Since her debut album "Ora", she sued against her former label, Roc Nation and had lost previous attempts at her second record.
She explained about losing previous project;
"My team at the time thought it wasn't a good idea and it would be a waste of time. I thought differently because my online presence grew really dramatically ... And so the team ... they're like, 'Well we're not helping you, we can't do it. We're not going to put money into it.' I said, 'Well fine! I'll put my own money into it.' And so I did."
But she signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records.
She joined in Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water," a charity music single to help the victims of the fire at Grenfell Tower that killed at least 79 people last week.
Also, she will host the new show "Boy Band," which debuts Thursday (June 22) on ABC.
About the "Boy Band," she said;
"I think hosting is one of the funnest things I've done so far ... I love talking and you really kind of communicate with the viewers at home, which is my fav.'Boy Band' is a good gig 'cause I don't have to be the one to deliver the bad news."- RsELrcVNzG0
