Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Chelsea Jade Premieres New Song “Ride Or Cry”
New Zealand singer-songwriter Chelsea Jade dropped a new song "Ride Or Cry" following "Life Of The Party" on SoundCloud.
The song is taken from her forthcoming debut album "Personal Best", which is expected to be released later in 2017.
For the debut album, she has worked with some producers such as Big Taste, Sam McCarthy, Brad Hale and Justyn Pilbrow.
Also Lorde joined in the album as a songwriter.
About the album, she told NYLON in an interview;
"It’s more me than ever. The hum of the machine is in L.A. I find the machine really comforting. Making songs and songs and songs and songs. It just about an insatiable appetite for making songs. Everyone has this little kernel of ambition, and the ambition isn’t like to conquer the world; it’s just to help your mates. The transition was really subtle, but I did really feel, like, in terms of music, I feel like I might be really good at it?"
Chelsea Jade is known as a friend of Lorde and won New Zealand Music Award for Critics' Choice Prize in 2012 as Watercolours.
She released EP "Beacons" and "Portals" in 2014. She is based in California now.
Recently, she co-wrote New Zealand singer-songwriter So Below's new song "Ruin", which was released June 1st.
And she plans to work with her friend song-writer Emily Warren in New york who wrote some songs for The Chainsmokers.- source : NYLON
