- Lorde Performs New Song “Perfect Places” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
- New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she performed her latest song "Perfect Places".
"Perfect Places" is the second single following "Green Light" from her sophomore album "Melodrama", which was released on June 16.
It was written by Lorde, Antonoff, Andrew Wyatt and Frank Dukes. From the album, she released other songs the likes of "Liability" and "Sober" as promotional singles.
Before her performance, she talked about creating the new album in an interview with Jimmy Fallon. When she created the album, she moved back to New Zealand to escape from the pressures.
"I just really felt like the whole thing was not really for me when I didn't have to do it. I was like, 'I'll do it when I have to do it, but when I don't have to, I'm just gonna peace out and go 10,000 miles away from here.'"
Also she unveiled that she was founder of Instagram handle "Onionringworldwide".
"I naively didn't realize that it would be a thing that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places. I think they're underrated as well. I don't think they get enough credit."
But Onionringworldwide garnered more chatter on the Internet after fans began to add to the conspiracy theory, eventually she to decide to shut it down.
"I feel like it kind of reads like the kind of thing a pop star would do to look relatable which I wasn’t doing! It was a funny thing with my friends on the tour and I was like, this is a good pastime."
