  • Katy Perry's “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden on The Late Late Show!

  • American singer-songwriter Katy Perry got to passenger seat of James Corden‘s car for an episode of Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show!

She and James Corden sang "Firework," "Dark Horse," "Bon Appetit," "Swish Swish," and "Roar" during "Carpool Karaoke".
Last week, she released a new song "Swish Swish", which was written about Taylor Swift. The song is taken her upcoming fifth studio album, which is due out June 9.
On the TV program, she revealed the reason behind her feud with Taylor Swift.

"It’s about backing dancers! It’s so crazy. Okay, so there’s like three backing dancers that went on tour with her, right? And they asked me before they went on tour if could go and I was like, ‘Yeah, of course! I’m not on a record cycle and you get to work and she’s great and all that. But I will be on a record cycle probably in about a year. So be sure to put a 30-day contingency in your contracts so you can get out if you wanna join me when I say I’m going back on.'
So that year came up, right, and I texted all of them because I’m very close with them and I told them, ‘Look, just FYI I’m about to start and I want to put the word out there.’ And they said, ‘Okay, well we’re going to go talk to management about it.’ And they did and they got fired. I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.
I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me, and I’m like, OK, cool, cool, cool, that’s how you want to deal with it? Karma!
But, what I want to say is that I’m ready for that B.S. to be done. Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, and there’s gonna be a reaction, and trust me daddy, there’s gonna be a reaction. It’s all about karma, right?
I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bulls–t, women together will heal the world."

Katy Perry will kick off "Witness: The Tour" to promote the new album in North America on September 7 and will perform through February.
Also she will perform at 95-106 Capital FM on May 25, followed by at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend on May 27 in London.
