  • Spritely Releases New Song “Miles” on SoundCloud

  • Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Jillian Lavin, aka Spritely has released a new song "Miles".

    The song is taken from her debut EP "A Little Bit Broken", which was released last December. The track was written by Jillian Lavin, produced by Matias Mora. The music video, directed by Matthew Carrieri was premiered on April 6, 2017.
    Spritely debuted with "Second Love" in 2015. Followed by, she released "Disposable". In 2016, she joined in English producer Jay Hudson's "Take Your Time" as a guest vocals.
    Her music is influenced from Death Cab For Cutie and Sigur Ros. Her sound has catchy melodies over existential-love lyrics with angsty pop-rock arrangements. But, her song "A Little Bit Broken" from debut EP reminds us of the early Paramore.

    About the new song, she wrote on her Facebook page;
    "I wrote “Miles” for a friend who had fallen into a particularly intense bout of major depression. Overnight, I saw a bright person shatter: her eyes wouldn’t focus, she could barely communicate, and all that she did say was, without going into detail, terrifying and cryptic. So I sat on her bed for a day and watched her sleep. Somewhere in that time, I wrote this."
    She added about the video:
    "My purpose in music and art is to confront darkness and turn fear into beauty. This video is the product of an entire team’s tireless work, and we all hope it serves its purpose to a viewer in need."
