American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey will release her upcoming fifth studio album "Lust for Life" this year. She released the first single "Love" from the new album on February 18, the second single "Lust for Life" with Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd was released on April 19.
On May 22, she dropped a music video for "Lust for Life" on VEVO. Directed by Rich Lee, who also directed the "Love" music video.
In the video, the "VHS" filter was used, creating retro images. Teaser video was directed by Clark Jackson, who directed the Lust for Life album trailer and produced the "Love" music video.
The video gained over 4.7 million views in 24 hours, becoming Del Rey's video to garner the most views in its first 24 hours of being uploaded.
The new album features the front-woman of Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks, who performs “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems.” It’s the first time the singers have collaborated.
Also, she collaborated with Sean Lennon, who performed "Tomorrow Never Came" on the new album. He is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.- She talked about the new album in an interview with KROQ. Listen to the interview below.
