London-based alt-pop duo Oh Wonder dropped a new song "My Friends" on VEVO. The official audio video was directed by Oh Wonder and Tim Toda.
The song is taken from their upcoming sophomore album "Ultralife", which will be released on June 17, 2017. It was written and produced by Oh Wonder.
The duo gave the first live this song at the Roundhouse in London last September. From the album, two songs "Ultralife" and "Lifetimes" were already released.
Oh Wonder was formed by Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West in 2014. The duo released self-titled debut album in 2015, they performed live at Maida Vale Studios of BBC Radio 1. In the same year, they toured with Halsey on the Badlands Tour.
The duo will perform live at some festivals in the summer, such as Pinkpop Festival 2017, Splendour in the Grass Festival 2017, Sziget Festival 2017, Summer Well 2017, Pukkelpop 2017 and more. Learn more information, click here.
About the new song, the duo said;
“’My Friends’ was written in New York after a teary morning walking around McCarren Park in Williamsburg, where we wondered why on earth we’d decided to spend our only month off from touring in America, rather than at home in London with our family and friends. Touring obviously cripples your social life, and this song is a little admission of how out of touch we feel with the people we love back home, and a plea of sorts to remember us whilst we are travelling around the world.”-
