Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Marcelo Premieres New Song “Go”
Sydney-based singer-songwriter Marcelo De La Vega, aka Marcelo premiered a new song "Go" on Spotify. The song was written by Marcelo De La Vega, Mike Waters, Peter Harding and Robby De Sa. The track follows up "Skin and Bones", which was released last December.
Marcelo started his music career with some rock bands, but he decided to start a solo artist and toured with piano and acoustic guitar.
"I did a couple tours where it was just me, my acoustic guitar and my piano. I want to create really fun and/or emotional pop music that people can connect with." he told about the tour at that time in the interview with Auspop last year.
After the tour, he has posted some cover songs like Years & Years, Justin Bieber, Drake and more on YouTube.
In 2015, he released "COLD" and "Lets Not Pretend". In July 2016, he released a debut EP "Marcelo" including "Won't".
His music is influenced by British pop rock. He said "I’ve always been into British pop rock – right now I’m really loving the 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen and the Arctic Monkeys and then I have always loved people like David Bowie, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones."
