Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ First Trailer for Boston Bombing Film “Stronger” Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany
On April 15, 2013, two homemade bombs detonated, near the finish line of the annual Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring several hundred others, including 16 who lost limbs. Jeff Bauman lost his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing. He had been at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon cheering on his girlfriend.
On June 22, first trailer for "Stronger" was unveiled online, the film is based on the book of the same title, written by Jeff Bauman.
Directed by David Gordon Green, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Tatiana Maslany, Miranda Richardson and Clancy Brown.
The film draws that Jeff Bauman attempts to walk again and adjust to his new circumstances after bombing.
Also, the trailer used two songs, "Heal (If I Stay New Version)" by British singer-songwriter Tom Odell and "Rise Up" by American singer-songwriter Andra Day.
"Heal (If I Stay New Version)" was included on Tom Odell's debut album "Long Way Down" (2013) deluxe version.
While, "Rise Up" was released in 2015 as her second single and featured in her debut album "Cheers to the Fall".
The film is scheduled to be released on September 22, 2017.
After Boston bombing, FBI released images of two suspects, who were Chechen-American brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot multiple times by police and died on April 19, 2013. On the same day, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev arrested and convicted on April 8, 2015 and sentenced to death on May 15, 2015.- Title:
