The first teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", aka "Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi" was unveiled on April 14th online.
The film follows up 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and directed by Rian Johnson who created "Looper" in 2012.
Starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Benicio Del Toro and new cast member Kelly Marie Tran. Tom Hardy will make a cameo appearance as a stormtrooper.
"The Last Jedi" is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017.
Also Disney will distribute Star Wars spinoff film which is about young Han Solo, starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The film arrives in 2018.
Following "The Last Jedi", "Episode IX" will be released in 2019. But Carrie Fisher died prior to working on "Episode IX", Leia character will appear in the next film via recently filmed unused footage. On 2016's "Rogue One", Leia character has appeared with CGI.- zB4I68XVPzQ
