Short Stop Motion Film “Time Chicken” - Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
- Everyone has the ultimate question - which came first, the chicken or the egg? Filmmaker Nick Black drew the answer of it with stop motion film "Time Chicken".
The film was written, directed and animated by Nick Black, who created it with Canon DSLRs and handmade sets from various objects which he found. It took over two years to create.
Featuring the voice of Coleman James and produced by Ben Aston. Original score by Nathan Stornetta and Martin Batchelar, music performed by the Prague Symphonic Ensemble.
The film won Best In Fest at Chain NYC Festival and Best Animation at Fantastic Dreams Buffal, as well as official selecttion for Anchorage Short Film Festival and London Short Film Festival.
About the film, Nick Black wrote on Vimeo;
"In the beginning there was faith that the egg was the start of all life. Then came reason that the egg must have come from a great chicken."
Nick Black has been working as an animator, illustrator and storyboarding and story-writer for the BBC, Red Bull, Le Toy Van, the Liberal Democrats and more.
In addtion "Time Chicken" to, he has created "Showreel", "SquareMileChallenge", "Nutella, "Patrick & Partrick", "Mo and the Commandments", "Cannibal" and "A Hero's Tale".
